What is PediaPress?
PediaPress brings wikis to print. The service works with wikis that have deployed a special extension. Such wikis offer users to build individual collections of articles and order them as printed books with PediaPress. Books are printed on demand. Each produced book is unique and customized just for you.
How can I create a custom book?
Go to your favorite wiki and look for a “Create a book” box in the navigation sidebar, usually on the left side of the page. Any wiki with this link supports PediaPress. Click on the “Books help” link to get more information about the process.
Which wikis offer the PediaPress service?
The PediaPress.com web-to-print service works on all MediaWikis that have installed the free Collection-Extension. To check whether a wiki supports PediaPress, look for a box entitled “Create a book” in the navigation sidebar. Some sites offering the service include the German Wikipedia, Wikibooks, the OpenOffice.org Wiki and coming soon all language editions of Wikipedia.
How can I integrate the PediaPress service to my wiki?
To integrate the PediaPress service with your MediaWiki simply install the open source Collection-Extension.

Is PediaPress a publisher?
PediaPress is not a publisher, but instead provides users with tools to order and share free or own content. Since PediaPress is not a publisher, we do not review the content of any printed books or other works offered through PediaPress tools. We expect all content to be consistent with our Terms and Conditions and reserve the right to remove content we deem to be illegal or inappropriate.

How are books typeset?
PediaPress uses automated typesetting software which understands wiki markup and generates printable PDF documents of high quality.
What is print on demand (POD)?
Print on demand (POD) is a method of producing books one at a time using a digital file. After you have ordered your book, our print on demand partner produces the book based on a PDF generated by us and ships it directly to you. The whole process from placing the order to shipping the book usually takes 2–3 business days for black & white books and 15 business days for color books.
How do your books look like?
Books have dimensions of 5.5" x 8.5" (216 x 140 mm). Depeding on the chosen option, they are perfect bound or have hardcover binding and are printed in black & white or color.
How are book prices calculated?
The cost of a book depends on the product option (binding, color or black & white) and the number of pages contained, in addition to a base fee.
What is the maximum size of a book?
A single book has a maximum size of approximately 800 pages. If a larger book is ordered, it is automatically split up into multiple volumes.
How can I save my book?
Are there restrictions on submitted content or shared books?
Yes, basically the contents and materials submitted or shared must not infringe German law.
What forms of payment does PediaPress accept?
We accept credit card (Visa and MasterCard) and PayPal.

Can I make a tax exempt purchase?
PediaPress is required to collect sales tax on any sales within the European Union. Any books shipped outside the European Union are tax-free. However, if you are located outside the European Union, your order may be subject to customs duty, import duty or other levies. Any such additional fees are the responsibility of the recipient.
How can I redeem a coupon?
You have a coupon code? Just create and/or select your book as usual. At the shopping cart page look for the Click to redeem a coupon link and enter the code.
How much does shipping cost?
Shipping cost varies depending on the selected shipping option and your place of residence. To see the shipping options and their cost, add your book to the cart and select your country. This will update the shipping cost.

How long will it take to receive an order?
Paperbacks usually are printed within 2–3 business days, color and hardcover books within 15 business days. You will receive an email from PediaPress when your items are shipped. Shipping takes another 2–20 business days depending on the selected shipping option and destination. Books are manufactured and shipped from either Brazil, Germany, Sweden, UK or USA depending on the your place of residence.
Please note: Shipping and manufacturing times are estimates and no guarantees. Shipping times may be influenced by factors beyond the control of PediaPress. Examples are incorrect delivery addresses, customs delays or falsely routed packets. Orders affected by these delays may take as long as 6 weeks to arrive.
Where in the world does PediaPress ship?
We ship to every location for which an affordable shipping service is available. Books are produced either in Brazil, Germany, Sweden, the UK or the USA, depending on your location of residence.
How can I follow up the status of my order?
Currently it is not possible to check the status of your order. If your book does not arrive within 30 days of ordering, please contact our support team.

How can I cancel or return an order?
Books purchased through PediaPress are printed as specified and ordered by the user. Therefore PediaPress cannot cancel orders, accept returns or provide refunds for ordered books. However, if you receive a damaged book, we will provide a free replacement.
How can I download my book as PDF or eBook?
Currently, you can only download your created book as PDF file directly on the Wiki. We are planning to offer eBooks later this year.
How can I add own content to my book?
Currently, it is not possible to add own content to your book.
